Distance Learning

Due to the circumstances of COVID-19, our staff has been well-equipped to handle the transition of in-person tutoring to distance learning. It is our very important to us that your child still receive outstanding academic instruction through the following:

  • teacher’s use of a document camera

  • incorporation of manipulatives (whenever applicable) to enhance multi-sensory learning

  • work cohesively with parents to optimize learning time

  • utilize student interest to help drive instruction, while aligning our teaching with state adopted learning standards

  • layering effective technology-based resources into the lesson to enhance the learning experience

  • provide support by helping student navigate and understand distance learning expectations set by their classroom teacher

Distance learning is not for every child and is only recommended for those who can successfully work independently in front of a computer screen for at least 55 minutes. Short breaks will always be incorporated. However, distance learning is generally recommended for students in 3rd grade or older. We do recognize that every child is different, so please contact us today to see if your child is a good fit for distance learning instruction.

We continue to deliver instruction to the following age groups:

  • elementary school

  • middle school

  • high school

Our instruction works because we implement the following:

  • evidence-based instruction

  • best practices in teaching

  • multi-sensory techniques

  • innovative and creative teaching techniques

We recommend that all students have their own designated area for learning at home or a learning basket where they can store their learning materials.

Our teachers have been working so hard from their homes! Although we are providing distance learning services, this hasn’t stopped us from utilizing a variety of teaching tools to enhance our lessons.

What are parents saying about distance learning?

“ I thought it went AMAZING!
It was fun and engaging for her because it was different!
I highly recommend all to at least try it and see how their child does with it.”
— H. Goodman (Long Beach, California)
